Each carrier has a hole at the leading edge. The firmware searches for this hole if optical verification is enabled. If the carrier is correctly positioned on the drum, the firmware will find this hole, indicating that the carrier is of the correct type (each type of carrier has a different hole position) and is loaded properly to line up the vacuum holes with the drum. Reload carrier. Check carrier type to make sure it is correct. This error is reported. Carrier not positioned correctly before pressing the load button.
